The Toyota Corolla needs no introduction in Pakistan. It has been the country's best-selling sedan for two decades and arguably the single most important car in the Pakistani market. But is it still worth buying in 2025 at Rs. 57–65 lakh when Korean and Chinese rivals offer so much more on paper?
What's New in 2025?
Indus Motor Company made incremental updates to the 2025 Corolla. The infotainment system now has wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on all variants. The Altis X Grande gets a 10.1-inch screen up from 8-inch. Lane departure warning is now standard on Grande variants. The 1.8L Altis Grande now has a more premium steering wheel with additional controls.

Driving Impressions
The 1.6L produces 122hp which feels adequate, not exciting. The CVT imitates step-gear shifts which feels synthetic. The suspension is tuned for Pakistani roads — it absorbs bumps remarkably well for a sedan this size. The steering is light in city traffic but could be more communicative at motorway speeds. What the Corolla does brilliantly is cruise. On the M2 Lahore–Islamabad motorway at 120 km/h, it's supremely relaxed and hushed.
Cabin Quality
The 2025 Corolla interior is well-assembled but feels dated versus the Korean competition. Plastics are hard in areas where KIA uses soft-touch. The 10.1-inch screen looks good but the UI is not as intuitive as KIA's. Where Toyota wins: seat comfort. The seats are among the best in any sedan — properly supportive for long Islamabad–Lahore drives.
Fuel Economy
Real-world fuel economy: 1.6L manual: 15–16 km/l city, 18–20 km/l highway. 1.8L CVT: 13–15 km/l city, 17–19 km/l highway. 2.0L CVT: 12–14 km/l city, 16–18 km/l highway. The 1.6L manual remains the most economical trim.
